Add a entity to your reporting structure

Before being able to report on your carbon emissions for your organization, you need to populate your reporting structure with the different entities and their hierarchy.

If you are unfamiliar with how the overall reporting structure on Daato, we have everything explained h
ere.

Once you have accessed the “Reporting structure”, you will directly see the list of entities under your parent organization. You are either able to:


  • edit the details of the entity by clicking on it;

  • extend each entity to access their units by clicking on “>”;
  • add a new one:




Click on “Add entity ” at the bottom of the entity column. 

Once the popup window appears on the right, you can add the details of the entity you would like to add: its name, its manager and approver, its identifier, and the different categories. 


If the people you would like to assign as a entity manager or approver are registered on your Daato instance already, you will see their email addresses appear in the dropdown. If not, you can add a new user directly from this window. 


If you are wondering, the categories are used for analytics purposes and to help you structure your reporting in the most flexible way.

 Once all the details are specified, you can click on "Save & Close”


A confirmation message will appear to confirm the addition of the new entity, which you will also see added to the entity list.
