Understand your supplier abstract risk scoring

Modified on Fri, 8 Sep, 2023 at 2:44 PM

Abstract risk assessment involves a high-level, broad analysis of the risks lying behind each of your suppliers. It aims to identify and categorize general types of risks that could impact the supply chain, without delving into specific details.

Each supplier and own business entity gets assigned a risk level based on the combination of their product data and country of operation. Considering this, please bear in mind that the risk- level derived from the abstract risk assessment serves as an indication to better prioritize your suppliers and allocate your resources efficiently.

The risk levels are broken down into 4 groups:

  • low
  • moderate
  • high
  • very high

It is recommended to send self-assessment questionnaires to the suppliers with “high” and “very high” risk levels.

For a detailed breakdown of the risk behind these levels, click on the supplier’s name. You will land on the supplier page.
