Copy data from an existing ESRS report

Modified on Wed, 25 Mar at 3:34 PM

When creating a new ESRS report, you can save time by copying data from an existing report.

How it works

When you create a new standard (non-consolidated) ESRS report, you will see a “Copy data from report” dropdown in the creation modal.

From there, you can:

  • Select an existing ESRS report to copy from
  • Remove the selection at any time before creating the report

If you choose a report, key configurations and data will be automatically transferred to your new report.

What gets copied

If you select a report, the following information will be copied into your new report:

  • Scope selection
    • Selected disclosure requirements (DRs) and data points (DPs)
    • Justifications for excluded DRs/DPs
  • Data point setup
    • Data point descriptions
    • Data collection methods
    • Entity-specific disclosures
  • Collected data
    • Values from previous data collection (both manual and entity data)
  • Report content
    • Final disclosures
    • Assessment content and audit documentation

What does not get copied

Some elements are intentionally not carried over to ensure proper data collection:

  • Collaboration responses for manually collected data points
  • Requests for collaborators or entity data collection
  • Data collection progress (the process is not started automatically)

Important notes

  • All copied data is pre-filled, but data collection must still be completed in the new report.
  • All data points are reset to not completed.
  • The report always starts in Step 1, and later steps are locked until you proceed.

Tracking copied data

For transparency, the system records that data was copied:

  • Each copied element includes a history entry
  • These entries reference the original report as the source
