ESRS report, step 2 (1): Data point definitions

Modified on Fri, 2 May at 11:01 AM

Another feature in this step that can help you ensure colleagues apply the correct assumptions when responding to your ESRS data requests are the data point definitions

In Step 2 of the ESRS reporting you have a little pen icon next to each data point. Clicking on this pen will open a side panel, where you have different options to prepare the data point for the data collection.

What is the purpose of that?

  1. Data point definitions: You can leave an internal definition (e.g. an internal data point ID, an explanation of the data point, an explanation of the calculation method to be applied) that all the request receivers will see to ensure they apply the same assumptions and have the same understanding as you do when filling in the data.

  2. Collection method: This is the same you can do in the table that you saw before opening the side panel, just that you can also add potential receivers of the data collection here.

  3. Data sources, Attachments, Comments: You will also be able to document potential data sources to help the request receivers find the correct data, upload helpful attachments e.g. as guidance, and any comments that the receivers should see.
