Importing CO2 Data into a VSME report

Modified on Mon, 4 May at 1:02 PM

If your greenhouse gas emissions data is already available in the CO₂ module, you can import it directly into the VSME questionnaire, without manual duplication.

There are two ways to do this:

1. During report creation
Select “Import data” and choose the relevant CO₂ report.
The import will automatically be set up for all relevant data points from the selected report.

2. Manually in Step 2
Alternatively, you can configure the import in Step 2 “Set up data collection.”

Select “Import” for the relevant data points and choose the CO₂ report you want to use.
You can apply this either to individual data points or to multiple data points at once.

The import covers all key emissions data, including:

  • Scope 1 emissions
  • Scope 2 emissions
    • location-based
    • market-based
  • Scope 3 emissions (all relevant reported categories)
  • Total emissions (automatically calculated from Scope 1, 2 and 3)

Using the import ensures that your emissions data is consistent and up to date across modules.

Benefits include:

  • No duplicate data entry: reduced manual effort
  • Higher data quality: fewer errors and inconsistencies
  • Single source of truth: CO₂ data maintained centrally
  • More efficient reporting: faster and smoother VSME process
