ESRS report, step 3: collect data for all data points

Modified on Mon, 15 Sep at 12:45 PM

Once you have completed the preparatory process in Step 2 and set everything up, you can begin the data collection by setting a due date and drafting a message to all recipients. You can then launch the data collection, and requests (via email notifications) will be sent directly to all individuals assigned to the respective entities from which you wish to collect data. These individuals will respond to the requests, and you will receive a notification once the feedback has been submitted.

Can I still make changes to the assignments after starting data collection?

Yes, but all ongoing queries will be stopped if step 2 is reopened. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider in this step who should be assigned and involved.

My data providers are unable to submit the data. Why?

Data providers must complete the data points before the response can be sent.

What happens after the due date of my data collection has passed?

Once the deadline has passed, the status will simply change to "Pending (Overdue)". However, it is still possible to edit both the requests and the data collection.

When are data provider answers reflected in a data point?

In aggregated data collections, quantitative answers are automatically summed across all entities, and qualitative answers can be copied into the final answer field using the copy button.

In manual data collection, quantitative responses must be entered manually by the responsible person. Qualitative responses can be copied. The "Copy all inputs" button copies all responses and indicates which data provider submitted each response.

What happens if I delete an entity in a running data collection?

If user deletes an entity from the organizational structure, that entity and all the data that it has ever provided to any report will be deleted as well.
