Copy data from an existing CO2 report

Modified on Tue, 31 Mar at 4:49 PM

When creating a new CO₂ report, you can reuse data from an existing report to reduce setup effort.

How it works

When you create a new report and select an existing report, its structure, settings, and data are automatically copied into the new report.

What gets copied

If you select a report, the following information will be copied into your new report:

Scope and organization

  • The list of entities from Step 1 (scopes)
  • Activities along with their associated entities from Step 2

Emission factors

  • All activities are linked to the current emission factors from the default database
  • Values are not carried over as fixed references but are reconnected to the currently valid emission factors

Data collection

  • The full data collection workflow
  • A separate entity report is created for each entity, including all associated data

Entity reports

  • All reported activities and data are copied
  • Emission factors are again linked to the current values from the default database

What is reset

Some elements are intentionally reset to ensure the new report can be properly reviewed and completed:

  • All entity reports are set to the initial status (e.g. draft)
  • The overall data collection status is reset
  • The entire report is reset to the starting state

Tracking

After copying, two independent reports exist:

  • The original report remains unchanged
  • The new report contains a separate copy of all relevant data and structure
