Add or modify emission factors

If you click on the “Emission factors” tab in the left-hand menu, you will be taken to the list of base and report versions. Click on the version you are working with and for which you want to add an emission factor by clicking on it.

Reminder: The base versions can be considered as templates for your report version. For example, you can upload your own list of emission factors specific to your industry as a base version and then retrieve it when creating your report version for a specific year.

In the tab of all emission factors of the selected version, you can add or change individual emission factors by clicking on “Add emission factors” - a window will open on the right-hand side.

In the window that opens, you can choose whether the emission factor should be used at overall company level (all entites) or for a specific entity. In the latter case, you will be asked to select the entity to which it should apply. 

You can then choose which activity the new emission factor should be linked to, or you can add a new, separate activity and specify the corresponding area of application. If necessary, you can create a translation for the activity.

 Note that your new emission factor will overwrite the old one if you select an existing category and geography that is already filled in for this activity. 

You can then enter the emission factor itself, its unit of measurement, its source and the year it was created/recorded.

Once you have entered all the information, you can click on “Accept”.
