EQS-Updates 25. April 2025
Modified on Wed, 30 Apr at 4:42 PM
What has changed?
Introduces a limited-scope version of the ESRS module for organizations not yet required to comply with ESRS standards.
Designed for early preparation, the module allows focused data collection based on user needs.
Built on the existing ESRS infrastructure with simplified configurations.
Visible as a separate module in the UI when enabled at the instance level.
Module Configuration
Lets users choose between two ESRS-Lite setups:
- Quantitative Data Only: Capture only numeric data points.
- Selected Standards: Report on a subset of ESRS standards (list to be defined).
- Feature flags control module visibility and available configuration types.
Launchpad
Clearly indicates the module type (ESRS-Lite).
Gives users easy access to reporting tools and a high-level view of data progress.
Reporting Workflow
Follows a streamlined, 4-step reporting process:
- Select reporting scope – Choose between available Lite configurations.
- Define data collection methods – Determine how data will be gathered.
- Input data – Enter either quantitative or scoped information.
- Review and finalize – Confirm the completeness and accuracy of data before submission.
Analytics
Displays a limited set of KPIs based on the chosen Lite configuration.
Aligns with full ESRS metrics to support consistency and future transitions.
Settings
Allows users to upgrade to the full ESRS module when they are ready.
Ensures previously submitted ESRS-Lite data is carried forward, avoiding data duplication or loss.
What is the added value?
- Supports phased ESRS adoption for organizations with delayed compliance timelines.
- Provides a simplified, focused approach to early data collection.
- Enables users to begin reporting with limited scope while retaining flexibility.
- Smooth transition path to full ESRS reporting without losing existing data.
- Reduces complexity while maintaining alignment with long-term compliance goals.
Problem: The DMA export for ESRS showed only the numeric "Value Chain Level" instead of the full entered details, resulting in incomplete data being displayed.
GIVEN: A user completes an ESRS assessment and inputs both a Value Chain Stage and Supply Stream (e.g., "Test One - Downstream")
WHEN: The user exports the assessment via the DMA export (Word format)
THEN: The export displayed only the numeric "Value Chain Level" (e.g., 1) without showing the Value Chain Stage or Supply Stream, leading to missing contextual information
- Fixed Behavior:
The Word export now includes the full entered information: both the Value Chain Stage and the Supply Stream (e.g., " Downstream : Disposal", "Upstream: Manufacturing"). The numeric "Value Chain Level" is no longer shown in isolation, ensuring complete and accurate data representation.
