Yay, another week with exciting software updates from Daato! Scroll down and learn more about the new developments on the platform:
For the instances with OpenAI integration enabled (currently these are only demo instances, contact us if you want to have it enabled for your customer instance) it is now possible to generate final answers to the disclosures in German.
To do so:
- Select German as the current user's language.
- Make sure there are some answers to the data points for the disclosure requirement you want to generate the final answer for (in step 3 of the ESRS report)
- Go the the final disclosure page in step 4 of the ESRS report
- Click on "Automatisch generieren" button
- New Report Creation Options:
- The "New report" button in the Double Materiality reports list view is now a dropdown with two options:
- Create empty report
- Import report

- Import Report Functionality:
- Selecting the "Import report" option opens a side drawer.
- Users can download a template with the following columns:
- Standard: List of standards concatenated with their category (Environmental/Social/Governance), e.g., Environmental: Climate. Additional options include:
- Environmental: Entity Specific
- Social: Entity Specific
- Governance: Entity Specific
- Sustainability matter
- Impact materiality: Non Material | Very Low | Low | Medium | High | Very High
- Impact materiality explanation
- Financial materiality: Non Material | Very Low | Low | Medium | High | Very High
- Financial materiality explanation
- Standard: List of standards concatenated with their category (Environmental/Social/Governance), e.g., Environmental: Climate. Additional options include:
- The template is prefilled with all standard sustainability matters (only the first two columns are filled).
- Selecting the "Import report" option opens a side drawer.
- Language Support:
- If the user's language is set to German, the template is downloaded in German with all column names, choices, and preselected sustainability matters translated.
- Spreadsheet Validation:
- Upon uploading, the spreadsheet is validated. If any row contains errors, an error message displays the row numbers with validation issues.
- Once validation is successful, users can submit the file.
- Additional Documentation:
- Users can upload additional documentation via the "Upload documentation" field.
- Users can upload additional documentation via the "Upload documentation" field.
- Report Creation:
- A new DM report is created for the year specified in the year selection dropdown of the import drawer.
- The DM report includes:
- All sustainability matters marked as relevant in step 1.
- Entity-specific matters created and assigned to the correct category if added by the user.
- No IROs.
- Assessment of sustainability matters overwritten based on the spreadsheet values, as if manually entered using the existing drawer (in table view of step 4).
- Any additional documentation stored with the report.
- Post-Import Processing:
- Upon successful import processing:
- A success toast displays the message "Report successfully imported" (or translation).
- The list of reports is updated on the front end.
- If additional documentation is present, it is added, and an option "Download documentation" is added to the "Download" dropdown in Step 4. The "Download" label on the button changes to "Actions".
- Upon successful import processing:
- Completion:
- Once the report is created, all steps are completed.
- Search Functionality:
- A search field is now displayed on top of each list page in the ESRS module (across all 4 steps).
- Search Behavior:
- When text is entered into the search field, it narrows the content shown on the page to:
- Standards matching the text.
- Disclosure requirements matching the text.
- If a matching element was previously hidden (due to collapsed containing elements), the containing elements will expand to show it.
- All child elements of a matching element are shown (e.g., all data points in a disclosure requirement that matches the search).
- Elements that were expanded before the search will remain expanded as long as they are still shown.
- When text is entered into the search field, it narrows the content shown on the page to:
- Filter Functionality:
- Users can apply various filters to refine the lists.
- Filter Options:
- Label-related filter options: Required, Phase in
- Toggle-related filter options: Marked as Included, Marked as Excluded, Partial reporting.
Out of scope:
Data point filtering and searching - will be implemented in the next releases (TBD)
Inconsistency between SMs marked as "Report" on different tabs of DMA results
Problem
The number of Sustainability Matters marked to be Reported on in the Matrix view is not consistent with the Ranking view in the last step of DMA

Problem
GIVEN an Impact was created in a DMA report
AND that Impact was then deleted
AND a Risk or Opportunity exists with answer "Impact" selected for question "Is the defined risk linked to a previously identified impact or dependency?"
WHEN user opens the dropdown with a list of Impacts under the question "Please select one of the impacts from previously identified impacts."
THEN the options include the deleted Impact

Completed IRO assessment after answering just one question
- Problem
- GIVEN some answer(s) is provided for an IRO in the "Assessment" section of the IRO assessment questionnaire
- AND not all questions in the "Assessment" section of the IRO assessment questionnaire are answered for that IRO
- WHEN viewing that IRO on the list or in the assessment page
- THEN the IRO is already assessed

Problem
GIVEN user has a role of ESRS Module Manager
AND an IRO exists with an answer “One or more of its subsidiaries” to the question “Is this a direct impact of the entire company or…” in its assessment questionnaire in step 3 of DMA
WHEN user opens that IRO assessment questionnaire in step 3
THEN the “Please select which subsidiaries” question has no options

New Code of conduct status under the name "Expiring soon". This new status can be selected from the Filter options and if selected, the list o suppliers with the code of conduct that is about to expire will be displayed in the table. "Expiring soon" reflects the period in which the supplier CoC's expiry date is within the last 30 days since the CoC was accepted.
Deleting document after submitting in CoC
Problem
GIVEN user has answered a CoC request as a supplier
WHEN user deletes the document attached in the request as a proof
THEN the document gets deleted
