Modified on Wed, 27 Aug at 4:35 PM

The new CO₂ workflow update in the EQS Sustainability Cockpit introduces several enhancements designed to streamline reporting, improve transparency, and increase flexibility for organizations.

The GHG Protocol process has been optimized with a clear and structured workflow, providing comprehensive overviews of scopes, activities, and data. Users can now assign custom names to activities to match organizational terminology and utilize data confidence indicators to track the quality and reliability of each data point.

For step-by-step guidance on starting your first report in the updated workflow, please have a look at this module walkthrough with supporting videos.

What is new?

Modular Configuration

The update introduces enhanced modularity, allowing GHG scopes to be configured per entity and activities to be assigned at the entity level. This flexibility supports a wide variety of project structures and organizational workflows.

Advanced Emission Factor Management

Emission factor management has been significantly improved. Users now have expanded access to the Climatiq database, including detailed metadata, quality indicators, and emission breakdowns. Matching activities with emission factors has also been refined through additional filters and pre-selection options, ensuring more accurate reporting.

Scope 2 Reporting Enhancements

Scope 2 reporting has been enhanced to support both market- and location-based approaches. Improved data entry and visualization tools allow for clearer representation of emissions in line with GHG Protocol standards.
